Natalia Pociurko was born and raised in Lviv, Ukraine.  Moved to Canada in May 1991, a month after graduating from the Ukrainian Academy of Printing with a double major in printing engineering and economics.  In Canada, Natalia obtained her Accounting Diploma at NAIT, followed by the professional accounting designation – CMA after the successful completion of the CMA program.   In 2010, Natalia obtained another professional designation of Certified Fraud Examiner.  

Natalia began her professional accounting career in 1995 as an accounting technician in public practice followed by the private industry until 2002 when she joined the Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission gaining expertise in auditing, due diligence investigations, and now finance – overseeing AGLC’s corporate accounting and payroll activities.       

Being an active member of the Ukrainian community, Natalia served as the President of the Ukrainian Women’s Organization of Canada, Edmonton Branch (March 1996 – 1999); Vice-President of the National Executive of the Ukrainian Women’s Organization of Canada (June 1998 – 2000); Vice-President of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress, Edmonton Branch (May 2005 to April 2008); and Vice-President of the Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce, Alberta Chapter (September 2011 to present).
