Iryna Klymenko Roe, PhD (econ), M.P.S.
Board Member of Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (Alberta Chapter) since 2017. She is a consultant in fundraising and obtaining funding for CUCC projects.
Iryna was born in Ukraine and before coming to Canada in 2017, she was associated with the Center for the Study of Public Policy and Communications (NGO Kyiv, Ukraine) as a co-founder and a senior fellow.
Iryna Klymenko carried out research projects and was a consultant for the Administration of the President of Ukraine as Head of Department of Foreign Economic Policy in the National Institute for Strategic Studies, Kyiv.
Iryna was actively involved into Ukraine-EU integration process. She has led a multidisciplinary working group on behalf of the Project “The National Convention on the EU in Ukraine” aimed to address the issues related to the Free Trade Agreement arise on the negotiation stage. She also took part in the cross-ministry working group on World Trade Organization (WTO) issues and provided a follow-up analysis of Ukraine membership in the WTO.
She is an alumna of George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies. Iryna received a Ph.D. Degree in International Economy in 2000 from the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. She has a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
Iryna is an author and co-author of about 100 analytical reports and articles in journals and mass media. She is an experienced journalist with 8 years’ work for daily newspapers and weekly business journal, she had prized with awards from the National Bank of Ukraine and the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine for articles about banking and financial sector.
